Moana Currents: Kōmore (Bracelet) Workshop
Join members of Kahu Collective as they show you how to weave your own kōmore (bracelet).
Drop by the Bird Hall on Level 3 to learn how to weave a kōmore from harakeke (flax). Take home a new skill and a fashionable accessory.
Afterwards visit our exhibition of Pacific-inspired fashion, Moana Currents: Dressing Aotearoa Now, to see other woven accessories and items of clothing.
Kahu Collective is a group of Ōtautahi (Christchurch) weavers who are keen to share their passion for raranga (weaving).
This workshop is free and no bookings are required – just turn up on the day. All materials provided.
