Tim has been a Research Fellow, invertebrate zoology, since 2009.
His area of interest is mayfly taxonomy, working with Terry Hitchings. His work includes field collecting, and identifying and describing new species.

Discussion of the history of the Canterbury Museum mayfly collection and discussion of temporal patterns of collection data. Revealed that several species had not been collected for some years raising concern about possible extinction.
