Join the Canterbury Museum educators for a hands-on journey into hangarau Māori (Māori technology)!

Discover how Māori used their deep knowledge of the natural world to craft tools, create technologies, and solve everyday challenges in Aotearoa New Zealand. Come and have a go with a tūwiri (stone drill), use a kaunoti (fire stick), discover how our ancestors preserved food and more.
This is a free drop in session on 24 April at two Waimakariri Libraries:
Kaiapoi Library from 10.30 – 11.30 am
Rangiora Library from 1.00 – 2.00 pm
