Join artist Emmy Boyce for a hands-on rope making working with tī kōuka (cabbage tree leaves).
Emmy Boyce is part of the Inventory team at Canterbury Museum, and is also a talented fibre artist who specialises in creating pieces of art with tī kōuka fibres. In this workshop, you will learn how to make your own rope out of tī kōuka which can then be turned into a necklace.
Our tutor can teach every level, from beginners to more advanced.
Cost: $5.
Make a tī kōuka rope workshop. Friday 17 and Wednesday 22 January from 1.00pm to 3.00pm at Canterbury Museum, 66 Gloucester Street.
